Hello, I have just bought my first Mac, in quite some time. No idea why I ever went the PC route. Anyhow, I bought a used Mac Book Pro and the previous owner had Little Snitch installed on the computer. I keep getting some fairly annoying messages about kernal tasks and programs accessing the internet. I know what it is trying to do, I just don't find it necessary. So, I went into my applications, found Little Snitch, and dragged it to the trash. I then emptied the trash secure in the knowledge that I had just uninstalled and gotten rid of the Little Snitch. But no. The pop up box persists. Does anyone have any insight as to how I can rid myself of this nuisance?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Dan

Hi Dan, welcome. :) You have to use the installer for LS to uninstall it -- usually dragging to the trash does work, but particularly not for some kinds of programs designed to run in the background.

You can get the installer here and also the directions:
