Hi folks,

I am new mac user, with a macbook running osx 10.5.7 and safari 4.0

Whenever I click the download button from any site ( the most recent one being yazsoft.com for speed download ) nothing happens. The url changes for a second to show me .zip and then nothing.

I checked the download folder, nothing there.

Cannot even download firefox.

Request help, please.

Thanks.

Have you...

1. Restarted your computer
2. Reset Safari (from the Safari Menu)
3. Repaired Permissions

Those are basics to get out of the way first

You can also do a Spotlight search for the name of the downloaded file to see if it went somewhere else

MacDawg, SkyBlue..thanks for responding quickly.

any downloaded files.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, I got the same problem, neither Safari nor Firefox can download anything. And I tried what you guys suggested, but they do not seem to work. Plz help.

Try to download Onyx and run it. That will clear out some "stuff", as well as repair permissions. It's pretty easy if you look around, you'll see what to do.

I appreciate your assistance.

I tried OnyX and repaired the file permission. Also I tried some other related options. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work. Any further idea?
