I rarely use a fax machine anymore, but today I had to fax a pdf from my Mac. Rather than print the long document and then fax it, I tried to use the installed fax in my printer and fax directly from Preview. I spent a considerable amount of time, including reinstalling the driver and the printer to my Mac, but the option to fax would not show up. In the past, you would go to print the document and then where the Layout drop down box is, you would change it to "Send Fax" and then input the number. This option is no longer there. In fact, I looked and it was missing from Mail, Notes, Safari and all of the other Apple default apps as well. However, the option is still there on Firefox, MS Office Apps and all of the other 3rd party apps I have installed, so this is certainly an Apple issue. I sent feedback to Apple already, but I was curious if anyone with a fax/printer could look and see if they have the same issue as I am seeing?

Thank you

I have an Epson ET-4750. In Safari if I choose the Epson fax from the printer drop down list it provides fields to enter the fax number etc. In the lower right instead of "Print" it says "Fax." I am on Mac OS X 10.14.1.

Works the same in NOTES and any other app that supports printing.

I don't know why it's not working for me. I have a Brother MFC-J480DW printer. I installed the printer using the CUPS driver from Brother. In the printer drop down, there is only one option which is my printer. No fax printer option in any apps and no "Send Fax" in the native Mac apps. It used to work fine in the past, but I use it so rarely I don't know if this started in Mojave or High Sierra.
