cannot get black background back after ios4 on 3gs

after upgrade the pic i had as background on the lock screen was automatically set as background on the home screen. how do I go back to no wallpaper on home screen?

It's okay. I didn't need to be snarky, either.

There should be a "no wallpaper" option, definitely, but there isn't yet. In the meantime, the black is an easy workaround.
