Maybe you guys can help me. Until last night I had no issue with the text forwarding from my phone to my iPad. This morning I noticed some of the texts I got last night didn't show up on my iPad so I turned off the forwarding on my phone and tried to reconnect the iPad and the phone. No matter what I try (and I have done soft rests and network resets on both). Nothing works and I can't get the code I need to connect them. I should say that they are both on the lastest public beta version of IOS 9.3 but when this occurred my iPad was not on the latest version and my phone was. Both are on the same version as of this writing. Although I know this a first world problem, this is exasperating.

Can anyone offer some advice? Thanks in advance.

When you turned off forwarding from the phone, did you also disable imessage on the ipad? if not, try that additional step, like this:

From iphone -> disable text message forwarding for particular ipad
Then
From ipad -> disable imessage then enable again
then
From iphone -> enable text message forwarding for that ipad

Thanks, yes, I've tried every permutation I could think of and nothing has worked. Oh, and apparently it will not work on my MacBook either. I am thinking maybe it's a quirk in the beta OS. At least I hope so, or I feel like a total fool for not being able to make this work.

Are both devices on the same wifi network, while you are trying to activate text forwarding? I may be wrong, but I was thinking that they had to be.

hi,
with beta anything can be wrong...especially with beta iPad iOS software...
but if it doesn't have anything to do with the beta, i have had the same problem as you several times.
it was always fixed so far by powering down both the mac or iPad, and the iPhone, and, changing the network that both were connected to (actually getting onto a different WiFi network then they were both connected to before).
then the confirmation number will come immediately.
if you are some public networks there is something usually blocking this kind of message however.

Hi. Thanks for the input. The damnest thing happened. I gave up on day one trying to get the code, but the next day all three of my devices synced up perfectly, code and all! Go figure!
