I had to install this app on my mac for a class, and now I no longer want it on my mac. I deleted it, but it still launches whenever I startup my mac. I have gone into the library, and various folders, to delete, like plists, but they always come back.

what version of MacOS are you running? Download the script, make it executable. Open a terminal and change to the folder where the download is located:

cd ~/where/ever/the/script/is

then:

chmod +x uninstall_citrix_receiver.sh

and then run it.

or if that is easier, type in the terminal:

chmod +x filename.sh

but instead of typing filename.sh just drag the downloaded script onto the terminal window. You end up with something like:

chmod +x /what/ever/the/path/is/which/was/added/when/you/dragged/it/uninstall_citrix_receiver.sh

press return to execute.

after that drag the script again into the terminal window - you should see something like this:

/what/ever/the/path/is/which/was/added/when/you/dragged/it/uninstall_citrix_receiver.sh

and press return to run it.

or you copy the commands and execute them line by line in the terminal window (!!!) from line 8 till 30 (!!!) from the script. You might have to check and remove

~Library > Application Support > Citrix Receiver
~Library > Caches > com.citrix.receiver.momas
~Library > Caches > com.citrix.receiver.nomas.plist

manually - as stated in the feedback on the github page.

EDIT: if you download the script as a zipped archive you have to unzip it first.

Likely if you go to your library, there will be a folder named launchdaemon or something like that. This is probably where the culprit lives on.

Search for the first folder and then search for anything related to Citrix in the LauchDaemons folder.

/Library/Citrix
/Library/LaunchDaemons/

ok, thanks all, I am running high Sierra on my desktop, and Mojave on my laptop.

I think I have gotten into some of those library folders, and deleted the Citrix content, but it keeps returning to those places.
