I need to get folder size

when I click view, then show view options, i don't get an option which says size, or calculate size

How do I get folder size?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but you might try selecting the folder and hitting Command and 'I'. The menu that appears will list the folder kind first, then the size.

In Finder select View | View Options. Click the Calculate All Sizes.

Note this may take a while to show sizes, since it takes a while to total the sizes.

or ... simply right-click on the folder to bring up that same dialog box with the size at the top (of course right-click must be enabled in system preferences for the mouse).
