cannot install macally mouse driver on my new 15" PB

The instructions for OS X on the disc that comes with the mouse says copy to destop and double click to expand. The file has an extension of .sit and my PB says no app to open it with. What is going on, why would a mouse driver require special app to install? Should I return it 😕

The file needs to be uncompressed. Download and install "stuffit expander".

Thanks that worked 🙂 It feels strange to me that the installation required a third party utility to work. Hmm, I guess it is like a buying a software package that need unzip/winzip or something similar to install. Cannot recall if I ever bought anything that required a third party software to install on a PC. May be I did, cannot remember, anyhow new to mac world and this feels odd...

Now as for the mouse, well it is called a macally DotMouse. It is optical, and it also has a blue light on it which you cannot turn off 😡 It is going back to to store to play cat and mouse with another unsuspecting soul.
