Really weird problem. Google made me reset my gmail password and after waiting for 2 days for them to sent me the reset link, I now can log onto my 3 Macs (Sequoia) with no problem. However, on my iPhone, I cannot get the Accounts app to accept the new password. I get the error message "Couldn't sign you in. Google couldn't verify this account belongs to you. Try again later or use Account Recovery for help." The Account Recovery is just another demand that I reset my password after waiting 2 days (really nutty on Google's part). If I open Safari on my iPhone I can log on to my gmail account just fine. I've shut the phone off and restarted but the problem persists. I am certain I am typing the correct password (it's in my Passwords app and is correct).

Any ideas what might be going on? It worked just fine until Google made me reset it last week.

Have you tried using Google's mail app instead? I've experienced issues using the mail app but I've never had any problems with the gmail application.

Thanks for the replies:

Deleting the account from my iPhone and attempting to add it back in Mail app results in the same problem.
No, I am not using it with any other accounts.
