I have an emergency. I am doing research for a paper for a masters class and have found a lot of PDF files on the web that I need after I download them I cannot reopen them and I'm getting several different errors. I took a screen shot of an example. I really need help because I am now a week late with my paper. Any thoughts? I have 10.8.1, Safari 6.0 and latest Adobe Reader (I think).:confused:

Have you tried opening them in Preview?
And here are OFFICIAL updates of Adobe Reader.

Preview did not work out. I could use any other suggestions anyone might have. May have to withdraw from my class if I can't sort it out in 24 hours.

Will try to do that. I have dropbox, but have never used it. Thank you!

The files are damaged, I cannot open them either. Just look at their file size, 2.44 KB is too small to hold any kind of data in PDFormat. You have to re-download those files, from wherever they come from or if that does not work, maybe share the link here for others to test.

Can you provide a link, or is that prohibited or a non public affair? If it is the latter, contact the provider of those PDF files and tell them, that they are damaged, if you cannot download them via any browser or means.
