Cannot play videos

Hey everyone 😀

I'm just wondering why I get this message The document “31012009001.AVI” could not be opened. The movie is not in a format that QuickTime Player understands when I try to watch videos of our little girl we've created on our Samsung camera over the years. In other words, do I need to download something?

install Perian. Perian is bundle of codecs that allows quicktime play most standard movie formats.

Download and install Perian.

Or run it thru Handbrake on its AppleTV2 setting.

That would be the most inefficient way to do it, but to each their own.
