Can someone please help me figure out why I cannot print from my Powerbook?

The printer is an HP OfficeJet 7110 All-In-One. I've tried the built-in print drivers on my computer and also downloaded the drivers from HP and it just won't work. It will recognize the printer for what it is and when I go to print, it prints, but not what I am trying to print. It prints ??metadata?? for the document (I use that word loosely). Like if I try to print Google.com, it'll print things like the URL and the height and width of the document it is supposed to be printing, then after the first page, it'll spit out blank page after blank page until I cancel the print job.

Not sure what else to say. Tiger, Powerbook G4, 1.5Ghz, 512MB RAM (not for long). Let me know if you need anymore info. :)

The PowerBook and the printer are obviously talking, otherwise you wouldn't even get the gibberish it's throwing out at you to begin with. This is just a guess, but I would say check your printer preferences. Maybe there's some weird option about printing the source info rather than the actual document.

Yeah, I've gone through them all the best I can so if there is an option for that, I cannot find it. Thanks for the tip. I'll check again in a few, but I doubt I'll see anything I hadn't seen before.

Just an update, I FINALLY tried plugging my Mac straight into the printer and it recognized it, and immediately everything worked wonderfully. Must be a network issue, anyone know what could be wrong?

My normal setup is the 6100 series All-in-one HP printer/scanner/fax... connected to a Compaq running XP, which is connected to the wireless router via ethernet (not wirelessly). Every other computer in the house (all PC except my Mac) connect wirelessly and print fine. My Mac can SEE the printer over the network but the printing comes out far from how it is supposed to (as I've described earlier in this thread).

Help? :)
