Hardware/software info:
3 year old desktop Mac OS X 10.6.8, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 8 gigs ram, Apple Mighty Mouse, Model number:A1152

Problem: While the mouse supports both left, right, middle, and edge clicks, actually being clicked appears to be binary, it's either up or down. As such, when one right clicks, it becomes impossible to left click with the right clicker held down. In order to left click, one must first let go of the right clicker.

In order to play a certain game, batman: arkham city, it is required to hold the right mouse, and press the left mouse. Holding the right mouse activates a targeting system for gadgets, and pressing the left, with the right mouse button still down, activates the gadget. I've been having this issue for about 5 hours now, and I've yet to be able to find any solution, which is preventing me from progressing in my game.

I've tried to key-bind the functions to a key with-in the game, but it does not support custom keybindings. I've tried to keybind my keyboard within the system preferences to allow me to press, say, alt enter, or any key really, and have the system register a mouse click, but you don't seem to be able to change keybinding for a keyboard.

I've tried to get by without using the feature, but that's impossible. Damn tutorial.

To recap; Anyone know how to either keybind a keyboard to click, or right and left click at the same time with an apple mighty mouse?
Thanks in advance!

Problem solved: bought a new mouse. I'm still interested in knowing if anyone can find a workaround though.

This is one of the (pretty well known) reasons for not using a mighty/magic mouse for gaming, and I've never heard of a workaround.

Haha yes, they are terrible for gaming. (though awesome for designing).

When my brother got a magic mouse, I stopped gaming on our mac and switched to the ps3.

Reply: if you get and auto mouse clicker you can have that run your left click while you hold down right click( to at least get out of the tutorial then you can change the key bindings on the game
