On catalina 10 15.7, on my MBA Pdf's do not show in Finder..

They are added to iBooks, but after plugging iPad, in <device>'"Books" and there is nothing listed... Even when "All books" are selected, nothing appears in the list... With selected, shouldn't I see what to sync ?

Are you sure the PDFs are downloaded to your computer and not just in the cloud? I just added a PDF to Books, and it shows up for me under my iPhone in Finder just fine. However, no books were showing up. When I went to the Books app, I noticed the books were all in the cloud only and not on my local machine (cloud icon on the top right of the book covers - you have to click that to download it). As soon as I downloaded one of those books from the cloud, it immediately appeared as available to sync under my iPhone in Finder.

If that's not the issue, then maybe try deleting one of the PDFs from Books and then re-adding it.

Of course, restarting your Mac wouldn't hurt either.

I'm not using icloud... i'm adding them manually to iBooks from USB drive (Add to library)

Needed to drag them over..

It shows what books are on iPad, not on Mac..

Well that's odd. Not that way when I tested it with my iPhone earlier - the PDF that showed up was only on my MacBook - I know that for a fact, because I literally had just imported a random PDF file into Books to test it.
