I have searched the forums, but did not find an answer to this.

When I try to send an email from my iPhone it says: Cannot Send Mail The Sender address was invalid

I have a first gen iPhone ver 2.0

The Outgoing Mail Server SMTP is: smtp.comcast.net

Thanks.

When you try to send, are you connected via your Comcast connection? I have a feeling that the Comcast SMTP server won't send unless you're connected via their network

No, I'm not connected. I have sent emails before though, while at work, and it has worked.
But this time it is not working. I don't send many emails from my iphone, usually just check it.

I did have a problem with my email not working at all, after I started using Mobileme, not sure if this is related or not.

Invalid Sender fix

I had the Cannot send invalid sender error message.

I went to Settings -> Email.._ SMTP and turned off the smtp.gmail.com and turned ON the AT&T smtp server and almost immediately heard the "Swoosh" of the email going out.
:)
