Hello, I have an Alltel Razr v3m. I can pair and sync with iSync fine, but when I go the adress book to send an sms, I click the bluetooth icon, it finds my phone, and asks me for a paskey on my phone. However, the passkey does not appear on my phone at all.

I would really like to use this feature, so any help is appreciated. :D

You might need to have the Bluetooth on your phone specifically turned on and have your phone set to 'Discoverable' as well. I've never used the feature you're talking about, so I'm not entirely sure of the specifics.

If this doesn't work, there are a few widgets out there that will allow you to send SMS messages for free :) You might consider one of those as an alternative.

I do have it set to discoverable...

As for the widget, I'll look for one. I think i might even have the Callwave one installed.

Thanks for the comment!

I am having the same problem with my Alltel V3M.... Everything works but the address book...

I have the phone setup correctly...

Same thing it asks me for a passkey in address book, but the phone does nothing...

If I recall correctly... a very specific BT service / profile is required to be able to send text messages in that way. It may be that the V3M doesn't support it.

I'm not sure there's much you can do for that, possibly short of re-flashing the phone in the case that it's just Verizon screwing you. :p

Otherwise, though, this program is very impressive:
