Cannot send text messages in Spanish

Hello,

As the title says, messages sent in spanish from my Verizon iPhone 4 simply will not go through, or they will go through and be represented by a bunch of random character, as shown in the picture below. Any idea how to fix this?

They go through on my AT&T iPhone. I wonder why it wont work on Verizon.

Are you on Verizon? Are you sending to someone on AT&T, because that's what I've been having problems with. And do you know how long the message? It seems like it is only happening with longer messages... Very odd.

It seems to only be an issue when sending a text from Verizon -> AT&T
