Cannot Set Up Siri or Join Waitlist?

When trying to set up Siri - speaking the phrases - it goes back to immediately “Off”.

When you try again, everything is successful but goes to Off again.

Anyone else have this?

Also, trying to join the waitlist, it brings up the pop up but immediately goes down says joined but resets:

I'm having the exact same issue. Please share it if you find a solution.

Edit: I think I managed to find a solution. I changed the language to English (United Kingdom) and I at least managed to join the waitlist.

East Asia (not China). App store is EU but my region is set to the US. Perhaps the mismatch between these is confusing Apple lol. I managed to join the waitlist after changing Siri language to British English.

you need to change apple id to US to make sure you are not blocked.

No, I was in favour of remaining
