I have updated my phone/mac/ipad/watch to 26. Now, every time I receive a phone call my Mac Mini blasts some default ringtone. I have disabled notifications completely in the "Phone" and "FaceTime" sections of the MacOS settings. In "Notifications from iPhone" I have disabled FaceTime notifications, but I do not see a "Phone" item.

All of my other devices have a "Silent" mode that I have been using faithfully for more than a decade. I do not think MacOS has a similar "Silent" mode, but I would love to be proven wrong.

Some more things I have tried include disabling all notifications from my phone, and I poked around in the FaceTime and Phone app on MacOS. I cannot find anything to stop the Mac from blasting sound for every phone call. I also tested this on my wife's MacBook Air shortly after updating all her stuff to 26, and I got the same result.

To be clear, I do like the visual notification when someone is calling, I just do not want it blasting a ringtone ever.

Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?

The only thing I have found so far that will have any effect on this situation is to turn on Do Not Disturb on my Mac and also tell the mac not to "Share across devices" my focus status, as I still want my phone/watch to vibrate when a phone call comes in.

this is a VERY big oversight by Apple! All of the devices should have both Share Settings (like Focus) and independent controls for this situation
