Is there any way to re install Mail on OSX, other than re installing the entire OS?

If you have the OS X installer file, you can use Pacifist to extract Mail app if you know how. But the easiest is just to reinstall over top of the existing install without erasing anything and that will put it back without erasing your data.

Backup first though just to be safe.

Thanks for the information. Last night I used Time Machine, reverted my HDD back 24 hours, and it worked fine. Mail is back to normal, still haven't a clue as to why is went sour on me. May have corrupted a file somehow. Anyway, thanks.
