I just got my iPod touch, have the latest version of iTunes and the latest version of the iPod software with Jan. upgrade.

In the setup/options for configuring the touch in iTunes I see you can sync your touch contact list with a Yahoo address book. When I click it, enter my yahoo ID and password, I get an error back from iTunes that says "Cannot sync with Yahoo contact list because an internet connection is not available", or some message like that.

I know this is crap cause I can get to the iTunes store, and other internet applications work fine.

Can anyone help?
Thanks,
Jordan

I have an issue with syncing with yahoo contacts too. On my PC at work it works no problem, but on my PC at home when I click on the drop-down list to select what to sync contacts with (outlook, yahoo contacts etc), the list is blank and there are no options at all. I don't get it!?

Same Problem

I have the same problem as you Steve.

There is supposed to be an option bellow that you can check off, to sync with Yahoo address book. It doesn't even show up for me, and I am positive I have the latest version of Itunes. This is craptacular.

Solution

FYI - Found the solution on another forum:

Log off from your Yahoo account on every computer that you are logged in on. Don't forget, yahoo can stay logged in for a couple of weeks, so be sure to get them all.

Worked for me
