Cannot turn off charging case sounds on Mac (AirPods Pro 3)

Is anyone able to turn on/off Charing Case Sounds in the Settings on the Mac? I can turn it on/off if I connect to my iPhone or iPad but on the Mac it's always grayed out and sometimes it starts screaming at me, which I find annoying and would like to turn it off but I can't.

macOS 26.5
AirPods Pro 3: 8B40

I don't have the APP3 but I do have the 2's. The Enable Charging Case Sounds options is on and selectable for me. Just a data point since I don't have the same model but it's not inherently broken in macOS 26.5.
