    Good afternoon-

I recently purchased an iMac for home use. I'm heading to Russia for a business trip for 4 weeks. I will be taking my PC laptop. I purchased a webcam (Logitech Quickcam Deluxe for Laptops), hoping to be able to video chats with my wife and daughter (via AIM on the laptop and iChat at home).

I've set up the webcam successfully on my laptop. I've been able to initiate a video conference through AIM with my wife on the iMac. I can hear AND see her on my laptop. However, she can ONLY hear me on the iMac. She cannot see my video. The only thing she sees in iChat is a preview of her video.

Again, on my end (PC), I can see and hear her. On the iMac, she can only hear me (and see herself).

I've read the forums here, also the tutorials, etc., but haven't found a solution. I'm sure it's probably something silly that I'm missing (pulling up the right window), but can't seem to see video on the iMac.

Is there something I'm missing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Since you say you've read the forums here there's not much more I can give so I'll repeat a few things that I know have been posted here.

    Check all your iChat settings
Check all your AIM settings (on your PC) ensuring that the 'friend' can view your video (it's a simple mistake)
Router configuration, check that for possible ports and NAT translation.
Router configuration, check for built in NAT firewall (disable it)

iChat and routers have had adverse effects and I've had to remote login to my parents to play with the NAT options to get screenshare and iChat video to run.

Skype is also free, try that. If you can see each other then, then I suggest use that.
