Hi. I just got my 2021 MPB and love it. I went to download the the DPP software and EOS Utility. I was hoping by this time Canon software would be Silicon native but it's not. I need to run it under Rosetta. How does this software work under Rosetta- i.e. any issues? Does anyone know when Canon will release Silicon native software? I also notice that when selecting the software it doesn't say Monterey, it says Catalina, which I am not on.

Thanks.

Is that a M1 MPB?

The M1 chip is causing a lot of incompatibility problems with some printer drivers and apps.

I wish that Canon would give an update on when to expect Silicon support. I can’t be the only one waiting for this. I know I can run DPP and the EOS Utility under Rosetta, but I’d prefer native Silicon. My other photography apps are already Silicon. What is taking Canon soooo long?

Canon DPP seems to run slow on even Intel Macs.
"Squeezing it through" Rosetta isn't going to help...
