I agree with what Courtaj said. The colors are not "bad" by any means. If the SD9 is a better price for you and/or you like the feel of it better, its a great camera. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with any of the current Panasonic, Canon or Sony cameras.

You know, I had to wait 10 minutes to do that as there's a bit of software on forums.macrumors intended to prevent duplicate postings. This suggests that (1) it doesn't always work, as in your instance; (2) I've got waaaay too much time on my hands.

I bought the HDC-SD9 today. Just going back to the software issues, I can confirm that this camera works well with Final Cut Pro, version 6, using the 'Log and Transfer' function. I have not tried it with iMovie 08.

i have an hdc sdp and i have tried to log and capture it using fcp (6.0) and i cant figure it out..can someone tell me the steps please!

I have the HDC - SD9 and excepting for the current problem I have with the automatic lens cover not opening when in record mode (posted this problem today) I have to say that it's a great HD Camcorder. It's incredibly lightweight, gets great battery life, it's easy-peasy simple to use, and records great footage. Downside would be it's not great in lowlight situations, but with the low light settings enabled, I have shot acceptable ambient lit subjects indoors.

Oh, and I may be able to tell you what the service department is like, if I can't find a solution to the automatic lens cover problem.
