My Canon D480 MFC fails to be detected by the Canon MF Toolbox software.
I got the latest software version from the Canon website - Bonjour protocol doesn't list the scanner and using the IP address doesn't work either.

The MFC is turned on and the set for network scanning. It works fine on Windows though.

Anyone else having problems like this?

I'm using MTL.

I can only see ScanGear for Mac, Fax Driver & Utilities for Mac and UFR II Printer Driver for Mac.
I have installed everything except the Fax Driver & Utilities package (don't need the fax).

Turns out the D480 MFC does not support network scanning on Mac. This is the email I got from Canon tech support:

Thank you for contacting Canon product support.
First of all thank you for all the information you provided, unfortunately Network Scanning with Mac is not supported with the D480, only in Windows OS. In order to use the MF Toolbox you must connect a usb cable between your Mac computer and the D480. Go to your "print and scan" click the + button below the printer window and add the usb multifunction for your D480. Open your MF Toolbox, select scanner in the scanner tab, and select your D480, then select any scan function from the MF Toolbox window and before you press start to scan on the Toolbox, make sure you select usb scanning by pressing the scan button on your copier/printer.
