Anyone a clue on how to scan with a canon pixma mx310? It worked fine under yosemite.
Printing is ok, scanning is not under el capitan.

I have these drivers (according to system information):
Canon IJScanner1: Version: 3.1.0
Canon IJScanner2: Version: 4.0.0
Canon IJScanner4: Version: 4.0.0
Canon IJScanner6: Version: 4.0.0
Canon MX310 series: Version: 11.0
Canon MX310 series: Version: 13.9.2

System Preferences automatically identifies it as a "Canon MX310 series" and "Canon MX310 series FAX". Though it doesn't find software for the "fax".

Thanks

Can't help, but according to Canon, they don't support that printer on El Capitan. They don't support Yosemite either, but can understand it working since that wasn't that big a leap from Mavericks re: changes along the lines of SIP.

Forgot to add: I've got a Brother unsupported printer that, so far, is working when used as a scanner, so, maybe hope someone has an answer and or some driver update for a different Canon might help/work.

That sucks. I don't feel like throwing out a perfectly good piece of equipment just because of some driver.
Printing is still ok, luckily.

I had the same problem with my HP All-in-One. I'm not sure if the issue was related to SIP or not however installing (maybe reinstalling) the latest drivers from HP's webpage fixed the problem.

I say maybe reinstalling because although the date of the drivers seemed new the installer referred to itself as software for Mavericks.

Go to Canon Malaysian website and download the driver for 10.9. It works for printing and scanning on 10.11!!!

I do not have a home phone line, so I cannot verify fax functionality.
