I am new to MAC's and I want to setup my Canon MX310. I have it shared from my Windows laptop. It seems like I am mapped to it and select a generic PCL or Postscript but nothing prints. When I go to Canon's website it says there is no driver for this.
Is there something I am missing?
I have a MacBook Pro.

Ok, I will try that. I wasn't sure if that would cause any issues if I used a driver from a older version.

The most important thing you are missing is - The drivers provided by manufacturers of USB-only inkjet printers are nearly all restricted to USB Only! The exception is that USB-only printers connected to Airport devices or other Macs can be printed to using Apple software (I think it's part of Bonjour).
In Apple (and CUPS print system) documents, these drivers are called "monolithic." Meaning they have the USB part built-in, and can't talk through any other comm protocol in OS X's CUPS print system.

Printers which have current drivers for OS X:
