Edit - changed post title as lens received July-8-2024, now thread will be image sharing, seeing what a FF UWA 10-20mm can bring to the table.

I got my Canon R5 spring 2022, Dec 2023 tried to order Canon RF UWA 10-20, outta stock. I then decided to place order 3/30/2024, thinking “ok, I’m in the waiting queue and 6-8 weeks should get it”.
Meh, here it is 12 weeks later and still out of stock.
They must have production quality issues, I don’t believe “supply chain” issues as reason.
Anyone else waiting on it?
Got it?

This will be my landscape and astrophotography lens.

Doesn’t help you but it appears to be available in the UK (Screenshot is of the WEX website)

I’ve seen similar complaints of lack of stock for Nikon lenses in the US which are available in Europe

I was hoping it would be available on Canon’s refurbished site by now! But alas I guess if you haven’t even gotten a new copy ordered months ago I probably have a while longer to wait before it’s available as a refurb!

Well placed order at Adorama, they have it in stock, hopefully I can get it by Friday 7/5 ....

Well had a roller coaster .
Ordered the lens 7/1, site said had stock. Then I got email saying outta stock till September 2024, was so bummed.
Then this morning got email and ups tracking saying will be here Monday 7/8, geeked now.

Maybe I got the “last one” and their system got confused? Anyways I’ll share images taken with it .

“The RF10-20mm F4 L IS STM is a unique ultra-wide-angle lens that gives you corrected, rectilinear coverage to an incredible 10mm with full-frame cameras. Great for still photography and videography, the 10mm ultra-wide-angle effect is outstanding for its dramatic look, lending visual drama to your landscape, interior, architecture, travel, and even photojournalism images.”

Now I need to take some landscape images with it, plus tonight possibly Timelapse.
