We have WiFi in a public park across from my office that I am able to connect to with a laptop. No encryption. The iTouch see the access point, asks to connect to it, connects, but then once safari starts it says it cannot find the server. I suspect the problem is that when I connect on a laptop, it brings me to a first page where I have to agree to terms (no porn) and that intermediate step is somehow not displaying on the iTouch. Good strong signal.

Anyone else experience this problem? Is there a workaround

Nope, that's not the issue. For example, I try to access a bookmarked site and it doens't find the server, same bookmark on another access point works fine. I am able to use other access points, including home, just not this one particular free public site (and only unable with iTouch, access just fine with MacBook).

I get that message too in places where i have a full signal. It's not a www thing. It show i'm connected with a check mark yet i can't get into anything.
