Cant access spotlight

Hi

Since the last security update (could be coincidence) spotlight has not been working at all.

If I hit cmd+space i just get a short 'chink' sound.

Same if I click on the magnifying glass icon at top right of screen.

Was a useful function, but can't get to it now!

Finder search seems okay, but what's happened to spotlight 😕

Can I get functionality back?

PLUS... I've just noticed that I can't full screen finder, safari, pages, or anything! I get the same 'chink' sound, and no response

Do you have any hidden (open) sreens/pop-ups on your desktop? Check your running apps with: right-click mouse on dock app icon and show all windows.

Hi

I wasn't sure what the dock app icon was, so i started closing apps down, and after I closed App Store the spotlight start working again, and the full screen function!
