Hey Guys, Recently updated my itunes by accident and it has stuffed my iphone 3g up. It comes up with the attachment below and the message 'sim failure insert a valid sim with no pin lock to activate iphone'

The phone is locked to an Australian sim and I currently have an ATT sim in it (i jail broke and unlocked it to use it in the usa) however don't care about using it as a phone and just want to use it as an ipod touch.

I have done multiple searches with suggestions to use blackra1n etc but nothing seems to work. any help would be appreciated thank you

It is all depended on what iOS you have on the phone. So, do you know what firmware version is on your phone?

If not, run tiny umbrella and it should give you this info.

Thanks Applejuiced! Using iPad is not very user friendly for this kind of communication. That is why my answer is short each time. 😀

I agree, when Im away from home and using the iphone to browse I stick with simple answers and not many links or long posts too🙂
