Bought a series 7 cellular watch today from the Apple Store. Tried to activate it on my Spectrum network. After 5 hours on the phone with them they finally told me that series 7 will not activate on Spectrums network due to the fact that Verizon that Spectrum piggy backs off of won't allow it for now. Agent said it will change in the future when Verizon feels that the rush is over. No idea when that might be. So I have a brand-new watch I can't activate.
 
Yeah. That’s the weird thing. I pointed that out to them at the time but nevertheless they would or could not activate it. Maybe it has changed
 
I'm on Verizon, not Spectrum, but had to contact Support to activate - it was that strange problem where the activation process flashes a message about updating your e911 address, then goes blank - when I contacted Support, they asked for IMEI/ICCID, and ICCID was blank for mine - they pushed one down and it started working without problems.
