Can't answer calls from my iPhone X on my MacBook Pro

Hi guys,

Basically the title. When I get a call on my iPhone X and the call thingy pops up on my MacBook Pro and I click to answer it, it takes a few seconds and then displays "Call failed". What can I do to make this work?

Okay, I found out that when I'm NOT connected to the internet via Ethernet on my MacBook Pro it WORKS (so when I'm just connected via WiFi). As soon as I'm connected to Ethernet (Ethernet + WiFi since it seems that the WiFi connection is kept when I plug the adapter in) it doesn't work. That's strange.

Not so strange. Per Apple: "Note: A Wi-Fi connection is required in order to make or receive phone calls on your MacBook Pro."

The one I quoted from is from the 2020 MBP Catalina version of the essentials guide. I would assume that's the most current. Oddly the English version of your reference notes the published date as Feb. 20, 2019, but the German version is Feb. 29, 2020.

Make sure that the router supports internal traffic between the ethernet and wifi interfaces.

Hello all, I've been fighting this issue for a while then noted I'm running ethernet and WiFi both. When I turned off WiFi I could answer calls on my Mac. Sometimes its the simples things though I'm not sure why you cant run Wifi and ethernet at the same time.
