I prefer the 15" screen for video editing.

I try to do video editing at home for the most part and use the monitor and MacBook for 2 screen. It's cramped but workable on just the 13 inch screen.

So it's been 3 weeks now, and I have had an opportunity to put my MacBook Pro through it's paces. It has not disappointed even a little, and I have zero regret in the purchase.

I have had no issues whatsoever on the keyboard. It's interesting, I had written in the initial post that the keys were ever so slightly stiffer on this keyboard then the 2018. As I type this I recall saying the same thing to myself when I had gotten the 2018. I don't know if my perceptions adjust the more I type on it, or if there is a slight break in after using it a little while, but the slight stiffness is gone. It still feels slightly more stabile on the 2019 than the 2018. And mind you the feeling is so minimal between the 2 keyboards, I had no problems at all with 2018. I feel that the keys have no perceived side by side movement or play at all, where the 2018 had very little feeling of that. I just write this to clarify for those that may be considering, there is definitely a difference, but it is very very slight.

The processor speed is slight, so the increase in speed from the 2018 is small. I love the quad core on both! It just takes what I give it. No hesitation on any task, no stutter, no loading. Video Editing on these machines is such a better experience than the dual core. I am also noticing the fans don't run as often, and the machine doesn't get as hot. Again, not a night and day difference, but a difference nonetheless.

Most important for me, I have no fear of running out of space. I can see myself using this for many years. I still say this is that perfected version of this model MacBook Pro the way the 2015 version was for the last MacBook Pro.

So the tasks I throw at it to give an idea of how I use my machine:

All day, internet, email, messaging. I regularly use Word and Excel to create and work with spreadsheets and documents. I often use PDF Expert to work with PDF's. Im regularly using the Photos app, and sometimes use Pixelmator to touch up photos.

The main use on processor, Final Cut Pro X. The videos load, edit, render, save, and transfer with ease. No hesitation during edits like I used to deal with on Dual Core. I have been using it more and more, and I think I am comfortable at half the time to complete my work as I was with dual core processors. It makes THAT big a difference.

I got a 2019 13 MBP TB 2.4 GHz 16GB 512 GB to replace my 2017 13 MBP nTB 2.3 GHz 16 GB 512 GB.

I too prefer to keep my machine till they're too slow (my last laptop prior to the 2017 was a 2010), but I found the keyboard too noisy in the 2017 nTB. So far I am liking the machine EXCEPT for the touch bar. I keep doing unintended things in various applications because of accidentally touching the TB. But I have decided to live with it and keep the machine. Only alternative would have been MBA, but it appears to be underpowered based on users' comments.
