Hi everyone, please need a help !

Just upgraded GPU, updated firmware and want to upgrade to NVMe SSD then update to Catalina by using dosdude1's patcher.
Trying to instal OCLP to have access to Apple BootPicker but can't enter recovery mode to disable "kext signing" in S.I.P. to finish OCLP installation :-(
Machine: cMP mid 2010, 2x3.33GHz, NVIDIA Quadro K600, PCIe SSD 2.5", genuine usb keyboard, High Sierra, firmware update 144.0.0.0.0
I hope so my issue explanation is clear enough.

my Question : HOW can I enter RECOVERY MODE ?

Thanx
in advance ;-)

remove drive with OCLP ESP,
Reset nvram cmd-alt-p-r 3 times in a row
hold cmd-r when booting the next time to start into High Sierra recovery

OCLP still not on drive (I think so), when I starting to install it, after "backup firmware" message says :

So , after when I'm restarting Mac&holding cmd-r it does not enters Recovery Mode :-(
But I still didn't tried to reset nvram 3 times, I did it just ones earlier ....
What would be your suggestion ?
Thnx

does your keyboard send preboot keys? If you hold cmd-alt-p-r does the box chimes again?

If not plug an apple keyboard directly to the USB Ports and try cmd-r again.

Yes, I'm using Apple USB keyboard and it chimes even 3 times :)
I'm holding cmd-alt-p-r until second chime then releasing. I did nvram reset 3 times in a row and then cmd-r, but I don't think so that is now in Recovery Mode, cause no any different on screen :-(
After that I tried to run RomDump again but the same window popped up saying that I need to disable kext in S.I.P. :-(
Is any further advice on it?
Thnx

Make a createinstallmedia boot stick with High Sierra or Mojave, pull the drives and just boot with the thumb drive in. Instead of installing you can run the Terminal from this, too.

On the menu bar there is a menu item "Terminal" to select.

Be patient, booting System installers or Recoveries take a while. Maybe it's the GPU. If this is not working plug in an Apple GPU with Preboot graphics.

Had a similar issue with my Mac Pro after upgrading from Mavericks to Venture. I tried several things, but eventually taking all of my HDDs out of my cMP (leaving my NVMe and removing unnecessary kexts finally solved the problem (I think). This was yesterday, so.

Hi,
Please can you explain, for a dummy, how to make "createinstallmedia boot stick" ?
I also tried to boot with Apple GPU ATI 5870, same result, OS starts but can not enter Recovery Mode or Boot Picker :-(
Thnx

No offense, but do you know a secret website called google?

Many THANX Macschrauber for your Help and Support ;-)
All the Best :)
