Can anyone help to identify this error?

That looks exactly like what my older iBook started doing when its graphics chip started going on the fritz. I'd get that to Apple ASAP; there usually isn't much (if any) hope of a software fix when displays start doing that.
 
i just sent it in yesterday. I thought it would be a heat problem, i saw some black marks on the back of the machine...
 
Is it still in warranty? The MBPs have a small problem with their GPUs, even if it is out of warranty, Apple might well replace it free of charge, as the GPUs are well known for being a bit faulty...
