Did you try the disk that comes with your computer? If it doesn't work..It might be your hard drive...

looks like a graphics glitch to me, try the disk method, although i dont hold out high hopes...

That looks exactly like what my older iBook started doing when its graphics chip started going on the fritz. I'd get that to Apple ASAP; there usually isn't much (if any) hope of a software fix when displays start doing that.

i just sent it in yesterday. I thought it would be a heat problem, i saw some black marks on the back of the machine...

Is it still in warranty? The MBPs have a small problem with their GPUs, even if it is out of warranty, Apple might well replace it free of charge, as the GPUs are well known for being a bit faulty...

i have applecare. i got it about a year ago, the MBP with the Santa Rosa chip.
