I cant cancel my order, why?

This policy is typical. People changing their minds after ordering is a distraction in the process of getting orders filled.

You will have to wait for delivery and refuse to accept or accept and return to the store for credit. Either way it will take the banks some time to credit your account.

Do not blame them for your mistake!

not true at all. You can call and cancel.

This guy's absolutely wrong. You can call now if you'd like and they'd do it over the phone, or change it online once the order goes to processing. I had to do this after I decided I wanted a 32gb but had already clicked buy on the 16gb. Everything went smoothly.

Why not READ the post just above yours?:p

Why not stop spreading misinformation?:p

Well when I look up my order at the Apple store it says that I can no longer cancel my order. It says:

"Preparing for Shipment We will send you an email when these items ship.
Not eligible to cancel or return"

Now who is spreading misinformation?:p

I couldn't cancel my order either, even though it said it wouldn't be dispatched for another two weeks, said I had to phone

so I phoned and was straight forward to cancel, no problems.

I asked why I couldn't cancel online and had to phone, and they said it was because I bought with a debit card, not a credit card.

debit transfers the money immediately from your account to theirs. So I suppose they want verification by phone, so their not having lots of funds popping in and out of their accounts.

still not fully sure why they can't allow debit card refund online, probably to do with transfer fees or something.

they always do this with new products on launch...retinas, ipads, and iPhones. They make you call.

It may have said that online but it is widely known you can call up and the people at the call centre can cancel the order for you. Even when the correct answer was given before you posted you still posted misinformation.

This is great to know and why these forums are so useful. In the end everyone has the ability to refuse the shipment at delivery.

just goes to show how many of us are impulse buyers. I have zero need for a mini, but am so so tempted. I'll have to go in store on the 2nd and am sure I will probably end up caving. $329 for essentially a reader (for me) is steep =/
