So I have a Imac ( bought it like early last year ), and a vivitek h1080fd projector.

I went out and bought a mini displayport to hdmi converter, then plugged in my hdmi cable to both the converter and then to the projector...

For some reason either my mac isnt letting a signal through or the projector cant read it.

I can plug in my windows netbook fine via VGA to VGA, and the projector can catch the signal.

    Any ideas?

And you have switched to HDMI input on the projector?

It has two HDMI inputs, so maybe you need to select the specific one.

What mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter did you get?

I have my TV set to HDMI1 and my comp in the HDMI2 , I switch to two, it searches for signal, and then says "No Signal"... TV and my Wii (Super awesome on a projector) both work fine. Laptop works fine when i plug it in via VGA. It seems like the projector knows somethings plugged in, its trying to get the signal but my mac isnt sending information or something ( thats what it "feels" like is the problem, but what do i know lol)

I got the Gigaware Mini displayport to HDMI
