Can't connect to the App Store or Software Update, what's the dealio?

    I'm on 10.7.1 and both Software Update and the App Store fail to connect.
    I have no problems with any other web service, it's limited to these two apps.
    I can access the iTunes store just fine on iTunes btw.
    Any ideas?

    Apparently this only happens on my home network, i just tried on another network and it works fine... i don't get it :/

    Check Your Port Settings

    On your router, and if they appear okay, then turn off the router for 1 minute.

    Re-start the router and try again with iTunes and the app store.

    reset the router remotely via back to my mac (not at home now) and it worked fine... which is weird cause i'd tried it before and nothing had changed...

    anyway, thank you kind sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar!
