iPhone SE (2020) Can't copy and paste photos anymore . . .

When I try to copy and paste a saved photo onto a forum post in Safari, this is what happens: I go to my photos, select a pik, press the up arrow and "Copy Photo." Then I go to the new post, tap, and the "Paste" balloon pops up but it doesn't paste the pik, the page just stays blank. I've tried this dozens of times over the past week but it won't work, and it used to work perfectly.

Copying and pasting links still works fine. I've rebooted several times, did not mess with any settings that should have changed the paste problem, but something changed somewhere.

Help?

On some sites I’ve had to switch from mobile view to desktop to get images accepted to paste, using an iPhone 14 pro, Macrumours included.

Thanks for the reply.

This is actually only one website, been using this phone on it for over a year, never tried copying an image anywhere else.

And their mobile app stinks so I've always been on desktop when posting there. :(

Try the reverse switch to mobile view, you never know it may work, wishing you good luck
 
Are you able to share which site you're experiencing the issue with? Otherwise, we'll just be guessing the possible causes.

If MacRumors is the site you're referring to, make sure you aren't in "BB code" mode. That mode shows plain text and would explain why you can't paste an image, but can paste a URL. Click the button that looks like "[]" in the editor toolbar to toggle between the two modes (may need to click the three dots in the upper-right corner first).

If it's another site where you're having the issue, make sure you're in the rich editor mode and not some plain text mode. Even if you are in rich editor mode, it still may not work. Not all text boxes are able to accept pasted images. It really depends if the site/forum software supports it or not. Something could have changed on their end.

Another example related to the above is Reddit. Not all subreddits allow images when creating a post. You may be able to paste images in one subreddit, but not in another. It's also possible the mods recently changed what types of posts are allowed.

It has worked fine for over a year since I got this phone, but suddenly stopped working about a week or so ago. I didn't change anything, something changed by itself.

Hold on, I have to try something.
 
It was my mistake, sorry for wasting everyone's time -- thanks anyway.
