Can’t copy and paste

For some reason i can’t {using the touch pad] highlight with arrow and two finger copy.Then paste the same way.
Is there a solution to this problem? Thanks

Has you trackpad any damage issues to it? And you may need to restart your MacBook.

MacOS version? Which MBP? Did you check the settings in System Preferences->Trackpad?

You may be pressing hard enough to activate a secondary or force click. Try disabling trackpad options until the problem goes away.
