I've had this problem ever since Leopard and it's bugging the **** out of me. Why can't Apple take a break from destroying things???

I have a DMG in Disk Utility. I click the image and click Burn. I burn at the lowest possible speed and the disk can be mounted and the files can be accessed but I don't think it was imaged to the disk.

My iBook will spin it for a few seconds, then be like, "um, no" and spit it out.

WTF!

How can I make this damn thing boot???? I don't need more coasters!

OK, I found the original Leopard DVD. The SuperDrive in the iBook still spits it out, so I can only assume that it's the drive because it boots on my MacBook.

Is there ANY way I can install over FireWire, Network, etc?
