I'll tell you this:

If you like being uncomfortable in your life, if you like walking around with a god damn brick in your pockets, if you like using phone with two hands - go for the pro.

If you're normal, and like the convenience when using phone with only one hand, if you like walking around without knowing you got a phone in your pocket, and if you like not being bothered by your phone everytime you sit in your car - then go for the mini.

Also, there wont be anymore minis, so i suggest you buy one now, and if you dont like it, you can still later switch to the bigass pro model since those are sold basically everywhere.

The battery life on 12 mini was terrible, i have no complaints regarding 13 mini. But im sure you dont live somewhere in amazonian rainforest, so charging your phone now and then shouldnt be a problem.

Also, during the summer, the difference between carrying regular or mini iphone is astonishing. When youre wearing jeans not that much, but in the summer, when youre wearing either sports trousers, or normal light summer pants, you really notice how better the mini is. You just dont feel it in the pants(yeah yeah thats what she said), while when carrying normal iphone, you really feel it every step you take. Its just annoying tbh.

I went for the mini and my pinky finger has been very happy ever since. Before that, it was struggling all the time and it started to hurt after 15 minutes of using my phone.

Big and heavy phone never again.
Late to this thread but I needed to reply to this just to say damn...I echo everything you've said so much to the point that it felt like I wrote this comment myself. Ironically, so many times people's positive statements about the Pro / Plus / Pro Max just feels like a drawback to me, such as the OP saying "I've been using the 13 mini much less than the 14 Pro". I'm like - that sounds fantastic, sign me up.

I appreciate that this is completely personal, but I just like a smartphone to be a smart, competent and utilitarian device, and when I got an iPhone 12 (from an iPhone 7) I found myself becoming a phone-zombie. Of course, self-control and discipline conquers all, but everyone's human (myself included) and I personally find that a bigger phone just hypnotises you more, and maybe the bulkier it is in your pocket the more it's subconsciously tapping on your shoulder: "Yo man, take me out, have a play!" Going from the iPhone 12 to the iPhone 13 mini was the best smartphone decision I've ever made - the less weight and screen in my life the better.
