this went into my thought process actually. It sounds a bit entitled so pardon me if I come across terribly. My thoght process is this, the current crop of dGPUs are not good. I'd much rather pick up an early 2013 or late 2012 macbook pro on the cheap as the 650 and 750 don't have major leaps in performances. i'm waiting for nvidia to actually provide us a decent dgpu option to jump into the arena.
that said, i went with the $1499 macbook pro with 8gb and 256gb SSD as I saw that as the best combo between performance/price/resale value. will probably flip this if a better 15 incher comes along next year.
