Hello,
I have a little problem, which is not that annoying but kind of bothering. I downloaded a weird software on my laptop a few days ago and news browsers has been installed (I know I should have read the conditions more carefully).
I tried to remove it but there is not box to tick the choice "remove" as it is on yahoo, bing or duckduckgo.
It's called " lkysearchds3705-a.akamaihd.net " and I did some research but people said that you have to find a suspisious software name to remove in my activity monitor and I'm afraid of removing something important. I read that this program could be very insecure and could steal data.. Here is a screenshot of the settings seen.

If someone could help me I'll be very grateful.

Is this an app in your applications folder? If so there are apps that do a pretty good job of deleting apps, such as Appcleaner. As always make sure you have good backups before proceeding.

Thanks for your answer. I already remove the application because it was the visible side of this program but now I downloaded CCleaner Malwarebits and none find a weird file in Google Chrome

It was probably a browser extension or plugin.

These are the most common type of adware/malware...Malwarebytes usually will clean them up, but some have to be removed manually.

Most of the time they can be removed (uninstalled) from the plugin or extension preferences for each browser.

I wanted to remove it but I have no idea of what kind of files I have to delete because files names are not everytime the same and I don't want to delete something important.. Don't you have idea about that ? Thanks you for answering tho
