Julien macrumors G4 Aug 27, 2016 #2 Don't press, just rest your finger on an app for a couple of seconds. The screen will start to blur and then it will give you the 'shaking' icons.

lagwagon Suspended Aug 27, 2016 #4 For future reference. - Long Press = tap and hold (been around for ages) - Light Press (or Peek) = first level of 3D Touch with a light press into the screen - Hard Press (or Pop) = second level of 3D Touch with a harder press into the screen from Peek
