Help me guys.

I don't consider myself a novice but this is doing my head in!

I bought a new Mac Pro last saturday. Installed a windows 7 partition on it, but it started ******** up on me. So I thought I'll wipe the partition and start fresh.

I open disk utility and click on the bootcamp partition, click the erase tab then click the erase button it then proceeds to tell me:

unmounting partition

Erasing volumes

Mounting partition

And the partition is still there for 125GB... I can't get rid of this thing!?!?

I've also tried ''Earse Free Space'' and NOTHGIN HAPPENS.

I thought, ***** it, I'll wipe the whole Mac and start with a fresh install, but I cant boot the OSX DVD??

I insert the DVD, restart my Mac holding the 'C' key but it just freezes on a grey screen with the apple logo and NOTHING happens, I have left it over night and NOTHING HAPPENS.

I've also tried restarting in some sort of DOS mode and it didnt help...

Bootcamp assistant gives me no options either, it acts like there isnt an existing partiton until I try to ''add one'' then it tells me one exists.

I pad near 3K for this machine and its doing NOTHING I want it to.

PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE

Just for future reference, always delete the Bootcamp partition with Bootcamp Assistant and not Disk Utility

As suggested, try booting with the Option key held down

Hi guys

thanks for replying

Tried restarting holding the option key and the grey screen of doom with the apple logo appeared and froze... same as when holding c.

Any more ideas? I fear I shall have to source some help from tech support...

I shall try to info you provided S.... as for my keyboard, it certainly is working.

Cheers
