I have an item in my download folder that I can't delete. It is showing a blue line under the folder in the dock as though it is still downloading.
If I drag it to trash it will go there but still shows as downloading but won't let me empty trash.
I'm running 10.9.2 on a Feb14 rMBP 13/256/8
How can I get rid of it?

Barney

Is it mounted as a DMG on your desktop or can you see it in Disk Utility?

If you can, you need to eject it prior to deletion.

I've just checked Disk Utility and it was there so I unmounted it.
It still won't go though 🙁

Once it's dismounted and in the trash, try a restart then try emptying the trash again...As long as it doesn't re-mount at boot up that should get rid of it...
