Can't delete mailbox?

I'm using the very latest version of OS X Mountain Lion and have problems with Mail. I have created 3 mailboxes for different email accounts I have. I no longer need one of these so tried to delete it from my mac but it won't delete?

Any ideas?

You did not say what you have tried, so I'm not even going to guess.

You should be able to go to mail->preferences->accounts Select the account you want to delete and click the "-" button. After you do this, it's associated inbox should be gone.

Sorry I didn't say did I lol 🙂 I've tried that and I've also tried right click delete mailbox but both unsuccessful.
